Call & Response indiegogo campaign is now live!

Until now, C&R have been able to fund our activities through our own money; however this is not at all a sustainable possibility, and without your help, our future activities will be severely curtailed. Most importantly, we need your help to purchase an 8-channel sound system with subwoofer with which to continue our series of sound art events and workshops. One thing which makes the experience of a Call & Response event unique is our ability to present very high quality sound in a variety of spaces, and this one requirement is the largest and most important hurdle preventing us from proceeding. Though $12,000 USD (£7,580 GBP) may seem like a large amount of money, in terms of a high-quality multi-speaker setup it is a modest sum, though one which we can not afford on our own. Once this initial barrier is removed, we will be able to freely continue to provide excellent aural experiences to you in the future! Rest assured this investment will be properly protected and insured.

Call & Response is London's independent sonic arts collective, serving as a focus for sound arts practice in the capital.

We launched with a sonic arts residency at the James Taylor Gallery on 4th-7th Nov 2010, which included installations, performances and a talk. We've gone on to produce improvisation workshops and further installation works.

If you'd like to participate in any way, please email us. If you'd like to be notified about our programme and receive invites to our next event, please leave us your email address using the box below.
